Car Wash Closed by Cold Weather

February 14, 2005

Some time around now the local car wash has been shut down due to the cold weather. Vermont state laws require that they recycle waste water and they are unable to do so in this weather. There is so much salt on my car that I track it throughout the house. It is inside the car, outside, just everywhere.

Cold Weather and Civil Drivers

February 12, 2005

Now it is the law that drivers in NH and I think VT have to stop if someone is in a crosswalk. But one bitter and chilly morning I had crossed the road, and some dear soul noticed that I dropped my glove. Traffic stopped in both directions for me to retrieve my glove and safely cross the road again. I think this is a place I can get used to.

Checking for US Mail in Cold Weather

February 12, 2005

Right about now I figure that it is really is too cold to make that extra step out to the curb to check on my mail. I think every other day will do for some time.
