Lebanon NH Weather Report

January 24, 2005

Nearby Lebanon NH reports the low temperature as -13.4 F / -25.2 C on my first day of work. That’s up from a low of -18 F two days before when Jane was helping me to get settled. It’s no wonder she didn’t want to walk around town and said that she would come back any season but winter.

I want to thank everyone who helped me through my workplace transitions moving to the Upper Valley. Thanks to my buddies and friends at Pittsburgh Mercy Health System and Carnegie Mellon University. Your support and encouragement along the (long) way was invaluable. And a Special thanks to Liz Evans, Linda Hogan, Rob Neumeyer, Lynn Berard and Matt Marsteller. You are the best!

My First New England Snow Storm

January 23, 2005

My friend Jane joined me for the drive to the Upper Valley, helping me bridge my years in Pittsburgh with a new life in New England. Highlights of the trip include driving through Carlisle PA and driving her to the Manchester airport in a snow storm.
