    Oh Cavafy.
    What young man will
    you dream of tonight
    praise with drink and
    immortalize in your poetry.

    Bring him to me.
    Let me hear of sweet
    succulent love
    of young passion
    on the river bank.

Your message to me is clear.
    If I do not follow
your young men in tonight’s dream
    they may be lost tomorrow.
